3Ef3Je3Hb5L85E75Mad5pdd1f43d6aa9b15e2Just this past week on designer/builder Rhodes Waite  - currently studying at the Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Warren, VT – posted a 98 sq.ft. tiny house trailer for just $29,995 in Canton, NC (close to Ashville).

A hand built tiny house trailer featuring an abundance of natural light, as well as a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and storage, is a small space with huge appeal.

According to designer/builder Waite the home is the only green built tiny house on the market with great attention to detail; indoor air and water quality being top priority. Waite built the house to live in herself, but life changes have led me to live elsewhere and sell her home.

The house itself features:

Main Living Area

  • 7.5‘ x 13.5’ interior space plus 2 ft. of covered front cedar porch
  • 11ft. entry ceilings
  • Interior pine tongue & groove walls along with maple flooring
  • Dickinson Newport Solid Fuel Heater/ Wood stove
  • 9 custom, handmade windows throughout
  • Built in couch/daybed that can double as extra sleeping area(6’ x 2’) with open storage underneath
  • Built in bookshelves, 1ft. sq. cubes for clothes (or other) storage, and a 2-rod closet

  • 6′ ceiling
  • 2-burner Suburban Propane stove
  • Toaster oven included
  • Full size double sink (direct greywater drain to outside)
  • Super efficient larger size mini fridge with separate freezer compartment
 ($600 new!)
  • Built in cedar dish rack above sink
  • Custom made cutting board countertop throughout kitchen
  • On demand Ecotemp propane hot water heater

  • 2‘ x 4.5’
 w/ 6′ ceiling
  • 2’ x 2’ shower pan
  • Low flow and super compact shower head
  • 5 gallon bucket composting toilet with standard toilet seat

  • 6‘ x 6.5‘ x 3.5’(at peak)
  • Fits full or queen size futon/mattress (not included).

  • Storage loft opposite bedroom loft with monkey bars between the two
  • Sliding ladder for access to both lofts

The house is 99% finished needing just a few small tweaks for completion. It is highly livable already though. The primary work left is in the bathroom including shower walls, floor installation, etc.

Asking price is $29,995 as is with the buyer being responsible for moving costs. However, for $32,500 the home can be 100% finished and delivered within 500 miles.
